Resume Building Masterclass Postponed- The Issues

Hello everyone, it's been a while. As most of you know, I've really been so busy with my CV writing and training. I organized a WhatsApp class sometime in April and was exhausting but very fulfilling. By popular demand, I had to organize another one in the month of May but now it has been postponed. WHY??!!

I put in a lot of work and research into any CV I rewrite and I try my best not to do a wacky job. Before I had my first training class, I took courses on CV and Cover Letter writing; I paid for those courses, watched videos, compared notes from different instructors, deprived myself of sleep, and so on. I did a lot of CV rewrites pro bono and a lot of people joined my class for free.

I decided to get more serious. At some point, my hard work had to start paying off. I organized a WhatsApp class on CV writing, Cover Letter writing, Proofreading, and LinkedIn Optimization and put it at a fee of N1,000. Immediately I got a call from my dad asking why I would want to teach all of these for just N1,000. I explained to him that I was mindful of the fact that the COVID-19 pandemic has affected the finances of so many people and I wanted to make it affordable for them. He didn't agree with me though but I went on with advertising the training.

I created a WhatsApp group for people who were interested in joining the class and shared the link on my social media pages. A few people joined the class, some made payment and to my amazement, the majority wanted to join for FREE! Come on! Is this what startups have to go through? I was heartbroken and that is why I decided to postpone the class.
