We relocated!!!

So a lot of things have happened since I last wrote to you. It's been a lot, and my mental health has been shaky. I abandoned my Youtube channel for a bit and I just really needed to take a chill pill. I make videos when I'm happy, and when I don't feel like myself, I prefer to write. Let's catch up...

Let me tell you what I have been up to since the last time I wrote to you. My Youtube channel got monetized. I started taking my channel more seriously. I became a badass writer with clients from different countries reaching out to me for my services. Chidimma! Focus! I joined the iPhone gang. I still don't think there's anything special about iOS. My wedding ring got stolen. Those were the highlights of my time away from you. I thought I was going to put this all out in a Youtube Video, but somehow, it feels so good to just sit here and write my thoughts down like a love letter to my readers.

Now, let's take it step-by-step. We relocated! I know you think we went to Canada, the UK, the US, or anywhere in the abroad....No! While my mates were travelling abroad, I was relocating to Benue State. Sad, right? Yea, very sad. I relocated to Ibadan, Oyo State in January 2020 after my wedding...if you go down my blog, you'll know that I wasn't exactly happy to be moving to Ibadan. My only consolation was that I was going to start a new life as a married woman to an amazing man. Every other thing was just bleeeee (imagine me saying it, it makes more sense like that😜😜).

I didn't really make new friends, just one friend and a few acquaintances. Ibadan was just not working for me. The job search was horror, the language barrier was there, and the horrible housing experience was there. The only thing I could say was working for me was the fact that I had left Lagos traffic behind. Let's move swiftly to how we got to relocate to Benue State 2 years and 3 months later.

Hubby received a letter saying that we would have to relocate to Benue State. I laughed like had Pseudobulbar Affect (PBA). You know that involuntary laughter that comes when you receive some kind of bad news and you know you can't do anything about it? That's where I was. I mean, I know I didn't like Ibadan. But Benue State? How? I was devastated. In less than 2 weeks, we packed up and left. We just packed 2 boxes and left.

We hit the road...but that was just the beginning of many road trips, many nights spent in hotel rooms and living out of a suitcase. Stay tuned for the rest of the gist.

Feel free to leave a comment as it will encourage me to drop PART 2. πŸ’•πŸ’•πŸ’•
